The Western Canada
Telecommunications Council (WCTC) is a non-profit society that has served as
a forum for the discussion of issues affecting telecommunications in Western
Canada since 1953.
The council's purpose is:
to be a forum for
discussion of issues affecting
telecommunications in Western Canada
to represent the many
private and government organizations in Western Canada which have an
interest in matters of usage, regulation or standardization or
telecommunications facilities, equipment, and radio spectrum
to be a Western Canada
sponsor of the Radio Advisory Board of Canada
to represent the
council’s members directly before Industry Canada at the National and
Regional levels on matters of special interest to Western Canada
